When it comes to romance, how does a girl face the fact that she isn’t beautiful? In the third book of the “Romantic Devotions” series, a young woman must compete for the attention of the man she wants against a friend who was born beautiful. Her beautiful friend wants to win the young man’s affection too, even though it might destroy their friendship. To make matters worse, the disadvantaged girl has secrets from her past that could alter the man’s opinion of her.
In a first-person narrative, the inner thoughts of a woman with her heart set on one particular man are revealed against a backdrop of her new Christian faith, the counsel of family, and the ordinary events that transpire in her life. What will it take to overcome the feeling that she can’t win against her beautiful friend?
